Who Can Apply
Deployment Eligibility Guidelines
Associates interested in deployment must meet specific requirements to ensure they are prepared for the mission and ready to support service members in challenging environments.
- U.S. passport – Associates must be able to obtain a U.S. passport. The Exchange will assist with obtaining an official government passport once selected.
- Availability – A commitment to deploy for a minimum of one year is required.
- Security clearance – Associates must receive a favorable security clearance to be eligible.
- Medical and dental exams – Passing standard military medical and dental evaluations is required before deployment.
- Weight requirement – Associates should weigh less than 300 pounds; however, a waiver may be submitted and considered on a case-by-case basis.
These requirements ensure that Exchange associates are physically, medically and logistically prepared to deploy and serve alongside U.S. military personnel worldwide.
